FOLLOW 21 DAYS OF SPECIAL AUCTION BY AUKTIONSHUSET DAB

Get stars in your eyes – international collectibles and treasures at auction from Mackie’s Pizza & Cantina

Maradona, David Beckham, Pelé and Elvis Presley are some of the stars signing autographs when dab Auction House drops the hammer on memorabilia from Mackie’s Pizza & Cantina on 21 November from 10:00 am at www.auktionshuset.dk. The direct link to follow the auction is here.

The last autograph is signed at Mackie’s Pizza & Cantina, the lights are turned off and the door is permanently locked.

The memories live on through memorabilia and collectibles that adorned the restaurant over the years. These can now be found at Auktionshuset dab’s own warehouse in Hasselager, where they are stored and can be viewed until the inspection day on 2 November from 13:00 – 16:00 and 9 November from 13:00 – 16:00.

Mickey Lee was an active participant in the music and sports scene in Aarhus, as evidenced by the many collectibles. The cultural institution in Aarhus was a gathering place for the football club AGF for around 20 years, and the football club is now auctioning off an AGF jersey from the club’s training tournament in the early 1980s to Hong Kong.

One footballer you would have liked to have seen in an AGF shirt was Diego Maradona. His Puma King football boot and Argentinian national team jersey with signatures are also on the auction, just as Maradona’s eternal comparison, Pelé, has also had a signed jersey hanging at Mackie’s.

Items from Elvis Presley, Prince, The Beatles and Flemming Bamse Jørgensen are also included in the auction
On 4 June 1964, The Beatles played a concert in K.B. Hallen, and K.B. Hallen’s concert poster from this concert is sold at online auction at Auktionshuset dab. However, this is not the only piece of history that can be felt when scrolling down the auction catalogue. There is also Elvis Presley’s sports coat, which he used in the late 60s when he rode his motorbike through Los Angeles and when he played football with his friends.

Among the many other notable items are a signed Fender Stratocaster by “Slowhand”, better known as Eric Clapton, a memorable concert poster from when the Rolling Stones were live at Parken in 1995, a signed album cover by Prince, Stevie Ray Vaughan’s legendary Fender Stratocaster, accompanied by a signed picture of Bob Marley and a unique, signed Fender Telecaster from Bruce Springsteen.

Tom Christensen from the auction house says: “It will be an exciting auction to follow, as there are both local and international collectibles to bid on. There has been a lot of interest in the first two auctions, which were sold from the restaurant, but we have moved a number of items to our warehouse in Hasselager, as we also want to give international bidders a better opportunity to see and bid on the items”.

“These are rare treasures for fans and seasoned collectors alike and represent a unique opportunity to own a piece of music and sports history,” concludes Tom Christensen.

Among the treasures close to the hearts of Aarhus residents, the auction also includes Flemming Bamse Jørgensen’s own signed guitar, a signed guitar from Thomas Helmig and paintings from Hans Krull.
