TBAuctions appoints ex-Amazon country manager as new executive

Roeland Donker becomes Regional General Manager for the Benelux and the UK 

November 18, Amsterdam - TBAuctions, a leading B2B multi-brand online auction platform in Europe, appointed Roeland Donker as its new Regional General Manager (RGM) for the Benelux and United Kingdom. Donker starts this week in Amsterdam and brings years of ecommerce experience at Amazon. As RGM for Benelux and the United Kingdom, he will be part of the executive team and responsible for TBAuctions’ brands Troostwijk Auctions, Vavato, and British Medical Auctions. With Donker’s arrival, TBAuctions aims to continue strengthening its position as a leading digital platform in Europe.

By appointing Donker, TBAuctions brings in a seasoned e-commerce specialist with over 12 years of experience at Amazon. Starting this week, he will be responsible for TBAuctions’ brands Troostwijk Auctions, Vavato, and British Medical Auctions. He will be part of TBAuctions’ executive team, and with his vast ecommerce and marketplace experience, contribute to TBAuctions becoming the worldwide leading digital auction platform for B2B used goods.

Amazon’s first NL country lead
Donker comes with extensive ecommerce and marketplace experience. With his team, he launched Amazon’s Dutch store at Amazon.nl in March 2020 and became Amazon’s first Country Manager Netherlands. He built out Amazon.nl over four years to be the fourth largest ecommerce player in the Netherlands. Additionally, Donker delivered and contributed to many projects that allowed Amazon Selling Partners to scale their business over the past 12.5 years. He has a proven track record for improving customer and seller experiences, with a sharp eye for data and detail.
